This July, we will be hosting a traditional Japanese sweets (Wagashi) and tea-making workshop! Together, we will make "Mizu-Manju" (translucent water-jelly sweets) colored naturally with butterfly pea tea and filled with sweet red bean paste (Anko).
Since the process involves heating and stirring the Kudzu starch, water, and beet sugar in a pot, the minimum age for participation is set to 4 years old. Along with making Wagashi, children will also have the chance to whisk their own Japanese tea (Matcha).
Through this parent-child experience, children can learn beautiful manners and etiquette, while parents can enjoy a wonderful opportunity to strengthen their bond with their children. While learning about the culture and history of the tea ceremony, you will experience the joy of making tea together and the true spirit of Omotenashi (Japanese hospitality).
Why not spend a memorable and wonderful time together as a family?
